I firmly believe that cars are like animals. Automakers have taught them to be safer and smarter and they have made them more refined and have, effectively, muzzled them with the mufflers. The Governors, which are speed limitation put on a car, The speed restrictions on the highways, the list goes on. The general public does not want a car that makes a great deal of noise or a car that is immensely powerful or even good looking. They just want to follow the herd. But one thing remains; put your foot hard down on any car and the true beast is revealed. The engine, snarling, growling, screaming towards the redline.The transmission slamming upshift or letting you slam them, jerking the car backward into a frenzy of getting more speed! The exhaust disregarding the mufflers and making a rage-filled, crazed hatred like noise. The tires squealing, screaming begging for mercy as they find grip and give you speed. As soon as you put the accelerator on any car fully down the he true automotive beauty comes out. The car says no to miles to the gallon. The car says no to being quiet and refined. The car says no to being muzzled and restrained. The car says no to being tame any longer and says yes to speed, power and noise. But as soon as you put your foot off the accelerator, it is tame.
